Ingrid Seward of "Majesty" magazine
Harry's return from Afghanistan demonstrates the problem with 24 hour news channels.
When there is something significant going on, like an election, then 24 hour news channels are relatively interesting. But then you get something like the Harry's return and they plaster it all over the shop.
I employ what I call the "Seward" rule" on these occasions.
The moment that BBC News 24 wheel out Ingrid Seward, gushing editor-in-chief of "Majesty" magazine (as they did this morning), is the moment I switch off the telly and get a life.

Many thanks for drawing Majesty to our attention. I'd never heard of it or its gushing editor in chief, but I hardly ever watch News 24 or 'live' TV at all, for that matter, these days. (We never catch up with all the excellent progs stored on the DVR and I get all the news I need from Radio 4 and the interweb).
Majesty looks like pure escapism, though, and I'll be sure to look out for a copy. Who could resist features on 'the life of Albert of Monaco as he prepares to celebrate his half-century' and the Queen Mother's record breaking world tour of 1958? I bet t-shirts from that make a good price on ebay.
Incidentally, I'm sure I'm not the only person who has noticed that the burbling rate has declined somewhat over the last week or so. Hope all's well and that normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.
Many thanks Andrew. Yes, I had an internet detox last week (I had become a bit obsessed) and have since been enjoying life/family a bit more than I have been, rather than rushing to the keyboard. But thanks for your concern.
Come-on then, chop, chop, your local bean counter has released his alternative budget!
